Our end client have a vacancy for a dynamic graduate to join our small but busy finance team. The role will work closely with senior team members to grow their experience of accounting within a multi-tenant SME environment. There will be exposure to all elements of the business including payroll, preparation of management accounts, VAT reporting and audit. There is an expectation that this individual will be working towards their professional qualification.

In this post, responsibilities are likely to include:

• Supporting team members in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Support the senior team with audits and other accounting projects.
• Maintain accurate and organised financial records.
• Use accounting software to manage and process transactions effectively.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department.
• Ensuring compliance and quality are always top priorities

We are looking for someone who's curious, driven, and has a genuine interest in growing their accounting career. To be successful you will ideally have:

• An Accountancy degree, or similar
• Ambition to progress towards an accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, or ACCA)
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
• Confident communication skills
• A collaborative spirit - but you can also manage your time independently
• Strong numeracy, literacy and accuracy skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
• Excellent time management, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills

**Based Glasgow City Centre this post offers a hybrid working model, as such a reasonable commutable distance from Glasgow would be expected.
