FPSG's client is a bespoke standalone team, with autonomy and technical creativity, embedded in a rapidly growing market leader. This squad development environment needs strong software engineer who have excellent core Java, JavaScript and the ability to influence the design & architecture of the software and applications around them.

To progress in this role candidates must be able to demonstrate their abilities through participating in several major projects, delivering on complex Core Java development where there has been some server-side exposure

Role Responsibilities

This role will appeal to software engineering enthusiasts that are committed to all areas of the development cycle. Candidates may have worked at various stages of software development, but must be comfortable with the focus on various layers as required.

As the projects are almost 100% Green Field, candidates must have the ability to influences, tool choice, design patterns, Architecture etc

All engineers will have an opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement through a collaborative agile development approach

The post is not prescriptive and all development will follow an iterative fashion and engagement with various stakeholders; Business Analysts, Product Owners, Users etc

Person Specification

• Strong Core Java concepts,

• Strong Java server-side development / front-end (full stack)

• Familiar with continuous improvement environments

• Familiar with Agile, SCRUM, Iterative development

• Understanding of NoSQL Databases

• Knowledge of integration skills, MicrServices, Cocker, Kubernetes

• Ability to influence the design and architecture of complex enterprise applications
