Associate Director -Procurement and Contract Management
Our client are a leading Management Consultancy operating in the Defence, Rail, Transport and Construction arena. They have a wealth of very high net worth clients are now seeking to recruit a Senior Commercial Manager who will drive forward the Sourcing, Contact Management and Corporate Commercial Activity within the infrastructure arena
Due to increased workload and securing of new clients within the Infrastructure sector, our client has a new opportunity for an Associate Director - Procurement and Contract to join their growing Contract Services division in London.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to: * Lead an outstanding team of specialist consultants, * work with major clients on large scale / flagship projects, * challenge themselves in a market leading global business. The wider team also includes specialists in procurement and contract strategy, project advisory and dispute resolution services. The intention is to develop the right applicant within the Contract Services division, offering a distinct opportunity to rapidly progress their career within an entrepreneurial, defined and growing division.
The immediate role will be predominantly based from their Head Office in London where you will work extensively with their clients and their respective supply chains.
The individual will have the opportunity to lead and/or work alongside a highly skilled team delivering best-in-class strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services to one of our key account clients.
Duties: * To fulfil the responsibilities of an Associate Director - Procurement and Contracts Consultant * You will lead on specialist procurement strategy to public and private sector clients. * You will drive the development of the procurement services provided by our client. * You will drive business development and marketing of the Contract Services division.
In particular we are looking for an individual who has been exposed but not necessarily an expert in the following:
- Procurement strategy
- Contract Management
- OJEU Procurement
- Supply chain intelligence
- Contract development
- Commercial modelling
- Supplier evaluation strategies
- Contract terms, negotiation and award
Experience & Qualifications * preferably possess degree related to quantity surveying, law or procurement or be MCIPS. * Experience of various forms of contracts with particular focus on NEC and JCT. * Confident, independent and able to work autonomously without need for supervision. * Be able to manage work/business development/career development activities. * Excellent communication skills, adaptable, with a determination to succeed.
