IT Helpdesk Analyst

FPSG is currently seeking an IT Helpdesk Analyst to work with a global organisation based from the Edinburgh office. This is an exciting opportunity to progress in your career and develop a variety of IT skills.

Role responsibilities

  • Set up of new PCs

  • Support hardware and software platforms

  • Resolving standard hardware and software problems, repairs and co-ordinating with external maintenance supplier

  • Creates documentation

  • Solves problems and maintain systems, escalates issues if necessary in a timely matter

  • Participates in the implementation of new software

  • Monitors tracks and analyses helpdesk statistics

Key Skills

  • PC Hardware and Software knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge of Programming Languages like SQL and VB

  • Knowledge of Firewalls, Internet Security and RDBMS.

  • General knowledge of hardware and software, applications and operating systems, data communication and infrastructure, telecommunication (PABX).

  • Patching skills.
