FPSG, working in partnership with our leading client who are a Europe-wide, industrial supplies organisation servicing the industrial, public and manufacturing markets, have an opening for a HR Advisor based in Peterborough.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the HR Business Partners, the role will be responsible for providing a professional HR service to around 600 employees and supporting Site Managers in employee relations.
You will be responsible for:
- Manage end to end HR issues arising from functions in your area, referring to appropriate sources of support when required
- Support and advise management on employee relations, attending and taking notes of key meetings, including investigations, discipline and grievance
- Analyse absence data and causal trends on patterns of absence, providing updates, reports, and recommendations to required parties
- Support HR Business Partners in management of complex absence cases and employee health issues
- Manage Occupational Health referrals for delegated areas of the business, monitoring response times and providing updates on action points
- Support creation and maintenance of up-to-date job descriptions for all roles
- Liaise with hiring managers to ensure internal recruitment processes are consistently followed e.g., Payroll, Benefits; IT, Transport
- Deliver and support new start onboarding and probationary processes
- Accountable for all HR employment processes e.g., contracts, leavers, and variations
Required Background
- CIPD qualification desirable or equivalent experience
- You will bring a consistent and balanced approach to all that you do and pride yourself on your relationship building skills
- Strong PC skills e.g. Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams/Zoom
- Familiar with HR Management Information Systems
You will need to hold a UK driving license and have access to a car due to the location and occasional travel to sites in your area.
