Digital Marketing Officer - Content (Glasgow)

Temporary, 28hours/week

£16.48 / hour (28 hours per week) contract until end 2018

FPSG's exclusive client is a not for profit advisory body to the Scottish Government on specific services given to the public and education across Scotland. Due to staff member being off on Maternity Leave an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Digital Marketing Officer (Content& Comms) to fill in until the end of the year. Applicants must have Public Sector experience current or very recent.

Role Responsibilities

As Digital Marketing Officer (Content& Comms) your responsibilities will include:

* Source, write and edit content for display on social media and website platforms according to the style guide and in collaboration with staff, members and partner organisations.

* Develop content strategies and update schedules in order to ensure the effective ongoing management of online content.

* Manage visual content reflects the diverse user base of the client and where appropriate create original content

* Key contact point for membership liaison and engagement

* Ensure best practise is reflected in the online platforms

* Manage online enquiries, including social media interaction

* Undertake regular audits and reviews to ensure that online content is up-to-date and meets user needs.

* Ensure effective SEO and compliance with accessibility standards.

* Ensure our policies and guidelines are adhered to.

Person Specification

As a successful Digital Marketing Officer (Content& Comms). you will have:

* Degree in a relevant subject area such as communications, digital marketing, journalism or information management.

* Relevant work experience in similar environments

* Applicants must have Public Sector experience current or very recent.

* Excellent writing and editing skills.

* Excellent communication skills and experience of working with different stakeholders.

* Excellent IT and information skills and competencies, including experience of Content Management Systems, Knowledge of HTML, experience of using WordPress etc.

* A commitment to quality.

* Energy and enthusiasm.

* Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.

* Strong interpersonal skills and experience of working in a small team.

* Ability to work on your own initiative.

Hourly rate of £16.48, 37 days holiday (pro rata), 28hours per week (days relatively flexible)
