Glasgow’s Hampden Park was buzzing on Wednesday with the annual Meet the Buyer
event – an opportunity to meet procurement decision makers across the Public
and Private sectors. A full day of
public sector insight, support for suppliers and great conversations. The day
was sponsored by the Scottish Government and Scotland
Excel.
FPSG’s Public Sector team was in attendance to discuss ways in which we can
support Public Sector recruitment through our framework agreements and
highlighting recent case studies with the Scottish Government and other high
profile public sector organisations. Our
team includes Michael Taggart who looks after the direction of our services,
Procurement specialist David Simpson and Chief Operating Officer, Andrew
Spratt.

We enjoyed insight into Scottish Government
Cyber Resilience with Head of Public Sector Cyber Resilience, Paul Chapman on
how the Scottish Government is driving forward Cyber Resilience within the
public sector and supporting the Scottish business community with Cyber
Essentials.
Delivering Social Value through Procurement with
Scotland Excel supported our own development of our CSR policy and how we
engage with our staff, suppliers and the communities in which we work through
our Fair Work initiatives.
Great conversations
Throughout the day we had some great
conversations around current and upcoming projects with Scottish Police,
Scottish Fire & Rescue, the NHS, Sellafield, Dounreay and the National
Records for Scotland. We look forward to having the opportunity to get involved
and build upon our current service track record within the Public Sector,
