Scottish fintech is proving to be a real success story – a leader in the arena with the central belt hosting a mix of external players and creating its own start-ups. As Fintech Scotland reports, Scotland’s fintech community now exceeds 100 innovative enterprises. The opportunity that comes with that for Scotland’s talent base is exceptional – Scottish Development International forecasts that the Fintech sector is expected to create 15,000 roles over the next 10 years. The central belt is leading the way with fresh talent, through fintech courses at Strathclyde and Stirling Universities.
New launch
FPSG has recently become part of this, supporting new player to Edinburgh, EedenBull. This exciting Fintech is opening its IT Development and Customer Support centre in Edinburgh city centre following a Regional Selective Assistance award from Scottish Enterprise. EdenBull is a high profile addition to the fintech community with a recent visit from Scottish Government Minister for Trade, Investment and Innovation, Ivan McKee. Speaking after the visit, Mr McKee said: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to visit EedenBull to hear about its plans to develop new and innovative fintech services.”
