Thank you to all ladies who attended FPSG’s Ladies of Insurance lunch in the Corinthian Club in Glasgow city centre on Friday 7th April.

Now in its 7th year, this bi-annual event was attended by brokers, insurers, solicitors, loss adjusters, etc. with ladies traveling from Belfast, York, Manchester, Perth and Edinburgh to be present. After the meal, networking and raffle, the day carried into the evening with the karaoke coming out – who knew insurance had so many fabulous singers?
135 glamourous ladies arrived to a chilled glass of fizz and a delicious 2 course meal before catching up with new and old friends and discussing insurance matters (well there was some insurance talk!!!!). Special thank you to the insurance organisations who have continually supported our event and their extremely generous raffle donations, coupled with the kindness of the ladies attending, we are delighted to have raised a massive £1,300 for our nominated local charity Cancer Support Scotland.

This amazing charity has helped many of our own colleagues within the insurance marketplace and their families, so we were delighted to have raised £1,300 for them. On the day, we had 2 ladies speak about their own personal stories and how Cancer Support Scotland has offered invaluable help and support to them. The Ladies of Insurance group has plans for further events throughout the year to raise money for CSS including a Stars in Yours Eyes night, 5k and 10k, Summer Ball and Casino night. Watch this space for more information. Who says insurance is boring?
