Agile Project Manager

£40000 - £45000 per annum + Benefits + Flexible working

FPSG are currently working with a well-known UK brand who are looking to hire An Agile Project Manager to based in their Glasgow office. The Agile PM will be responsible for ensuring that an agile delivery team are fully up to speed with the value and practices of a true agile environment. The business are in the process of reforming to being a digital, customer focused, centre of excellence.

The successful Agile Project Manager will hold responsibility for, delivery, team support and facilitation, continuous improvement and people management.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver functionality to the business frequently in an iterative manner in line with lean, usercentric and agile principals.

  • Work with the team to ensure that functionality is delivered in line with the business and user priorities in a way which is both predictable and sustainable.

  • Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile practices and values.

  • Participate in regular performance reviews and objective setting for the team and individual team members.

  • Work with other Agile Project Managers to increase the effectiveness of the application of Agile practices both within the individual teams and within the wider organization.

  • Ensure that the work is done without coercion, assigning or dictating the work or how it's done.

To be successful in the role of Agile Project Manager you have experience in:

  • Expert knowledge of the fundamentals of agile iterative development

  • Processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to the team and organization

  • Understanding of the fundamentals of software development processes and procedures (full SDLC)

  • Appreciation of the value of commitments to delivery made by a team

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • ScrumMaster certification

  • Knowledge of multiple Agile approaches i.e. Scrum, XP, Kanban, SageAgile.
