We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Director/Business Development Director with a strong background in Chemistry Services. This PE-backed organization is growing rapidly and changing the market in the drug discovery and development world in recent times. They are built on state-of-the-art technology with 100's of patents, and this has led to multiple deals worth $100's of millions.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for spearheading sales of chemistry services to new and existing clients.
The successful candidate will be a driven and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase revenue
- Identify and prospect new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients
- Understand the chemistry services offered by the company and effectively communicate their benefits to potential clients
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote the company's services and generate leads
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing materials and campaigns
- Provide feedback to the management team on market trends, client needs, and competitor activity
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Science (PhD in Chemistry would be ideal)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in sales, preferably in the chemistry or life science industry
- Bench Scientist experience in Pharmaceutical or Biotech company is a plus
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Over 25% of travel is required
