FPSG's exclusive client is currently seeking Junior Network Engineer to join their infrastructure team based in Rotherham. Working directly under the Group Network Engineer you will be responsible for the implementation, integration, maintenance, upgrading and troubleshooting of both the new and existing infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer who is in the early stages of their career and is keen to work in business where they will exposed to a wide range of tech and gain experience working on Networks, Firewall Security and Telephony Management. Ongoing training and development will be guaranteed (if CCNA helped to gain CCNP) and due to continual business growth potential for career progression is extremely realistic.

Main role responsibilities will include

  • Manage, maintain, administer and troubleshoot the multiple LANs, VLANs, WANs, Wireless networks and VPNs
  • Develop and maintain router related standards, policies and procedures, including architecture blueprints as well as managing, maintaining, administering and troubleshooting the multiple implementations of the infrastructures physical firewall instances.
  • Install, configure and manage the company's Remote Access gateway.
  • Work to establish schedules for required elements of configuration and development of the network systems, including but not limited to, routers, switches, firewalls and voice platforms etc.
  • Ensure that all IT Network endpoints, be them physical or virtual are effectively managed and updated by intruder.

To be considered for this position the successful candidate will have:

  • 2 years of work experience in a technical environment already at a similar level (Junior Network Engineer - 2nd/3rd Line Support).
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of network hardware, Cisco, HP and Fort iGATE ( other firewalls will be considered).
  • Currently hold a Cisco/HP certification ie CCNA and be working towards CCNP or equivalent.
  • Strong experience deploying and administering large LANs and WAN environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and be able to work proactively.
