Rain did not dampen the spirits of the athletes which made for some great results. Highlights included Kirsten McAslan, who flew in from Germany and celebrated a win in the 400m Hurdles and Neil Gourley, winning his first gold medal in Scotland in the 1500m, this was presented by middle distance legend Graham Williamson.

Congratulations to Nick Percy who pitched out to 59.87m and claimed the £2000 prize pot in the final event of the weekend.

This event coincided with a remarkable weekend for scottishathletics with athletes on the international stage at the European Championships in Berlin. There were some fantastic performances throughout the day with Laura Muir taking the 1500m title, which marks her first outdoor gold medal at a major championship and Eilish McColgan winning silver in the 5000m a few minutes later. #SALSuper17
