Following on from our sponsorship of November’s scottishathletics and jogscotland Annual Awards Dinner and the Indoor Season at the Emirates Arena, FPSG is delighted to continue our sponsorship into the 2018 Outdoor Season in track and field. The sponsorship is a four year partnership which will stretch until 2020, supporting athletics in Scotland throughout that time. Since November, we have enjoyed enormously, supporting events with scottishathletics and jogscotland. As well as getting to see our outstanding senior stars in action, it has been especially rewarding to watch our future stars compete at FPSG Athletics events.
2018 is Year of Young People in Scotland, a Scottish Government initiative aimed at inspiring Scotland through its young people by celebrating their achievements, valuing their contributions and creating opportunities for them to shine.
One of our key aims when establishing the relationship was to secure investment in this future and this has certainly been on display in the Age Group Categories. The Age Group Categories makes athletics accessible with online registration for events from around 150 athletics clubs across Scotland. The club network offers young people the opportunity to take part in track and field at all levels. Scottish Athletics has a link here which will show you the clubs in your area. A quick search shows there are 18 clubs within easy reach of FPSG’s Glasgow office offering everything from road running to cross country, track and field and ultra distances.
